Panhandle Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Pace, Florida, provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with an addiction to prescription painkillers, heroin, or other opioids. MAT involves a combination of prescription medication and counseling to help adults work toward recovery from opioid addiction. Panhandle CTC provides adults with a prescription for methadone or buprenorphine to reduce the physical symptoms of opioid withdrawal. This helps participants focus on the therapeutic component of MAT, which includes individual and group sessions. Therapy at Panhandle CTC takes place in a safe, welcoming environment where adults can feel comfortable discussing their concerns.
