Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Woodson's background in public health lends a different perspective to her practice. "Helping patients understand their health and educating them to be their own health advocate is very important to me," she says. She chose internal medicine as her specialty because she believes working with adults through sometimes complex medical issues allows her to become a real partner in their health care.Dr. Woodson focuses on preventive health, including age- and gender-appropriate screenings to detect diseases and conditions.
