Emily Jewell, MD, began practicing in 2021 and has completed a fellowship in Upper Extremity. "I've known I wanted to be a doctor from a very young age. I have multiple physicians in my family, so I grew up talking about medicine during holidays and family get-togethers. The breadth of knowledge they had and the absolute joy and excitement they showed for their jobs always intrigued me. I can still remember being told by one of them 'being a doctor is the greatest job I can imagine,' and I can now say I wholeheartedly agree. "I went into orthopedic hand and upper-extremity surgery because I enjoy the intricacies and variety of conditions that can be treated. I love being part of a team that allows patients to return to the activities they enjoy and improves their overall quality of life."
