Ahmed Alkaliby, M.D, is an ophthalmologist specialized in medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal diseases including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion and retinal detachment. He has special interests in pediatric and adult vitreoretinal trauma, complex retinal detachment, ocular oncology, uveitis, and macular disease. A highly accomplished surgeon and scholar, Dr. Alkaliby has authored a number of books and book chapters on retinal surgery and other vitreoretinal topics. He has also served as ophthalmology journal peer reviewer and book reviewer. Dr. Alkaliby has lectured as a visiting professor at a number of national and international universities and has made numerous presentations to his peers at ophthalmological meetings and conventions.
